Which format you need comes down to volume. Cartridges are simplest: no regulator, no extra kit, about half a litre of cream each. Cylinders cost far less per charge — a 640 g gives roughly 80 standard charges and a 2 kg around 250 — but they need a pressure regulator, which cartridges do not.

Everything here is food-grade nitrous oxide (E942) for preparing food and drink.
