Cream chargers are pressurised cylinders of food-grade nitrous oxide used to aerate cream on demand. Fit one to a compatible dispenser, shake, and you have whipped cream, foam or an espuma in seconds with no whisking involved. The same charge handles rapid infusions.

Cylinder or cartridge?
Cartridges thread straight into a whipper and need nothing else, which suits low volume. Cylinders cost far less per charge and let you charge one siphon after another without stopping — but they need a pressure regulator, a one-off cost before the saving starts. If you are charging more than a few times a service, the cylinder wins quickly.
