A week of cover, roughly

Each 615 g cylinder is about 77 standard 8 g charge equivalents, so six is in the region of 460 charges. For a dessert section and a cocktail list running nightly that is a week; for a quieter site it is a month. Count your charges for one busy week before choosing a pack size — it is a five-minute job that settles the question properly.

Why cylinders rather than cartridges

The Smartwhip system charges one siphon straight after another with no waiting, which is the real argument on a pass that cannot stop to unscrew a spent cartridge mid-service. Cost per charge is lower too, once you own a regulator — a cylinder will not thread into a siphon without one.
