From the same manufacturer as the 8 g cartridges, this Mosa siphon holds a quarter of a litre and covers the full spread of siphon work: whipping cream, icings, custard, soft cheese, jelly and soda. Plastic body with an aluminium head, 0.25 litre maximum capacity.
Buying the whipper and the gas from one brand
Mosa makes both this siphon and a large share of the 8 g cartridges used across the trade, so pairing the two removes any question about whether a charger will seat and seal properly in the head. It will also take the other 8 g cartridges we stock if you need to mix supply.
Where 250 ml sits
Between the 125 ml Quick Whip and the 500 ml Smartwhip. A quarter litre is the capacity most sections settle on: enough for a service without a refill, little enough that you are not throwing cream away at the end of one. The full range is in dispensers.
Looking after it
Rinse the head after each use and let it dry before storing. Dried cream in the seal is the most common reason a siphon starts to leak pressure. Release any remaining gas before opening it, and keep a pressurised siphon out of the dishwasher.
