For a bakery producing whipped cream all day, the 2 kg Original at pallet quantity removes the supply question entirely. Each cylinder is filled with 99% pure food-grade nitrous oxide and delivers consistent pressure through its capacity. The size gives exceptional value per gram, and the cylinders work the same way as smaller ones once a regulator is fitted, so there is nothing new for a team to learn when the pallet lands.

What pallet depth actually changes

It is a cash-flow and storage decision before it is a price one. A pallet commits you up front and needs somewhere dry and upright to live, but it takes the reorder cycle off the manager’s desk for months and removes the risk of being short mid-service — which on a dessert section is the expensive failure, not the gas price.

Each 2 kg cylinder gives roughly 250 standard 8 g charge equivalents, so the per-charge cost at this depth is the lowest we list. If you are stepping up from cases, work out your monthly charge count first and buy against that rather than against the headline discount.

What you need alongside it

A pressure regulator. Cylinders from 320 g upwards do not thread into a whipping siphon directly — only 8 g cartridges do. One regulator serves the whole pallet, so it is a single up-front cost rather than a per-cylinder one.

Handling and delivery

Store upright, below 50 °C, away from heat and direct sun. Never puncture, crush or incinerate a cylinder, including an empty one. A pallet ships as freight rather than parcels and needs a delivery point that can receive it — tell us your postal code and access when you order and we will confirm the delivered cost before anything moves.
